Refined and Garden Hose Filter - Water Purification for Safer Outdoor Use

The Clean Water Fun garden hose filter has been specially designed to fit any standard garden hose thread. It has been third-party tested to significantly reduce Chlorine, Chloramines, and other common chemicals found in home water supplies. This filter can be used for any of your outdoor water needs where cleaner water is desired. However, it should not be used with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after filtration.

In third-party testing, the filter has been shown to reduce organic chemicals by 99% and chloramines by 97% or better. If you plan to use the filter daily, we recommend purchasing an inexpensive garden hose quick connect from your local hardware store. This will allow you to easily attach the filter and prevent any stripping of the filter threads from the metal on the garden hose. Keep the quick connect attached and store the filter in a plastic storage bag (no need to replace end caps in this case).

What is catalytic carbon? This carbon is made from coconut shell that has undergone a steam activation process to create its activated carbon form with micro-pores. During activation, it creates millions of pores at the surface of the carbon, thus increasing the total surface area. After the activation process, the carbon is coated with a catalyst which continues to break the bond between the chlorine and ammonia (how chloramine is formed), allowing any remaining chloramines to be treated. This acid-washed catalytic carbon is also especially effective for adsorbing chlorine, ammonia, disinfection by-products, TCE, PCE, MTBE, and other trace-level organics.

The filter housing is made of durable polypropylene.
